Evidence-based literacy instruction that’s tailored to neurodiverse learners because attention, organization, and executive function aren’t extras; they’re foundational.

Hello, I'm Michelle!

My students call me "Ms. Mack"
I am dedicated to supporting young people in developing the skills they need to thrive.

I consider it a privilege to be a part of my students' lives and learning journeys.  Whether it be through academic support or life skills support, I take pride in being an anchor point for my students and providing a supportive and encouraging partnership WITH them.  I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with my students and look at the challenges ahead and guide them towards success.  I ask questions, I help them discover their own unique abilities and we champion them with every incremental success.

I believe that very child deserves to discover the joy of reading and writing. My work blends the best of literacy science with a deep understanding of how attention, organization, and executive function shape learning. I don’t just teach reading, I build confidence, skills, and a love for learning that lasts.

Structured Literacy Support that Understands the ADHD Brain

I offer literacy support that’s fun, compassionate, and rooted in science. I approach every lesson using the Orton-Gillingham and Science of Reading approaches - multisensory, structured, and evidence-based woven with ADHD and executive function strategies that help kids feel capable, confident, and connected.

literacy intervention that gets the ADHD brain

I specialize in literacy intervention that meets kids where they are and helps them move forward with confidence. I use the Orton-Gillingham approach together with the Science of Reading to provide multisensory, structured, and evidence-based instruction. Every session takes place in a safe, playful, and supportive environment where learning feels achievable. Because each lesson is designed with ADHD and executive function in mind, students not only build literacy skills but also begin to enjoy the process of learning.

customized literacy support

No two learners are alike. That’s why every student receives an individualized literacy plan designed around their unique profile. From decoding and spelling to comprehension and writing, each plan is built to target the skills that matter most while honouring attention, pace, and focus. The result? Real progress and growing confidence in both school and daily life.

confidence and resilience

Literacy success isn’t only about words on a page, it’s about the confidence to keep trying, even when learning feels hard. My sessions weave in advocacy and self-awareness skills so kids feel capable and independent. They discover not only that they can read and write, but that they can trust themselves as learners.

research driven,
brain-aware instruction

My work is grounded in the Science of Reading and the Orton-Gillingham approach, which are proven to help struggling readers thrive. What makes my practice different is the way I integrate ADHD and executive function knowledge into every lesson. Students learn strategies for managing focus, organization, and working memory while strengthening their literacy skills. This blend of structured literacy methods and brain-aware strategies creates meaningful, lasting progress.

Why Work with Me?

My approach to supporting students is deeply rooted in a holistic framework.

My approach to literacy intervention is rooted in research and practice. I use the Orton-Gillingham approach and the Science of Reading to deliver structured, multisensory instruction that supports struggling readers in making real progress.

I bring extensive training in ADHD and executive function, not as a separate service but as a framework for how I design every lesson. This means instruction is paced to sustain attention, supported with strategies for working memory and organization, and always delivered in a way that helps students feel capable.

I am committed to each student’s success. Our work together is always shaped by individual needs, goals, and strengths, so progress in literacy is paired with confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.

what my clients are saying

Mari Chris C, Canada

We are so pleased with the progress our son has made with his reading/ literacy since working with Ms. Mack (Michelle). Ms. Mack has many "tricks" in her bag for keeping lessons interesting and fun for the kids. She is extremely encouraging and a positive mentor. We are so happy we made the decision to work with Michelle.

Jolene F, Canada

Michelle has been an excellent resource for my son. I would absolutely recommend her services to others. She was able to give my son the tools he needed to not only survive some challenging times but change the narrative of the story and find a way to connect. It's been a game changer.

Kristi Y, Canada

All three of my boys did VERY well this year and they couldn't have done it without you. Thank you!
